Jiffy Treet (Kirkwood)
From Bloomingpedia
Owned by Hartzell Martel since 1993, this location has been in business since 1988. The building can be seen in Breaking Away when it was operating as a Baskin-Robbins franchise. The building has been purchased by an outside development firm (the same firm that demolished and renovated the Von Lee) and was razed in late December of 2006. This Jiffy Treet will relocate to an alternate location to re-open as the owner doesn't anticipate being able to cover the higher rent expected in the new building.
After this location closed, there were no ice cream parlors in the Kirkwood area until The Cereal Barn & Peanut Butter Cafe began offering ice cream in May of 2007.
