My old landlord was partner with him in the Passage to India restaurant and was not too enthusiastic with him after it got run into the ground. I also remember that when the apartment complex he had at the old hotel went bankrupt, a bunch of people who were living in power-included apartments lost power and heat in the middle of the winter because he never paid the utilities.
