Taste of Bloomington (2006)

The 2006 Taste of Bloomington festival took place at the Showers Commons on June 17th, 2006. The weather was clear, albeit hot, for the entire day, up until 9:30PM when a storm front moved in from the southwest. The rain came on very quickly and caught many of the festival-goers off guard as they scurried for cover. The festival was shut down when lightning started shortly after. The estimated revenue loss was estimated at $9,200, when compared with the previous year's revenues. Organizers point out that the majority of revenue is made during ther last few hours of the event.
