James D. Showers

James D. Showers (b. 1841, d. 1913) is one of the founding brothers of Showers Brothers Furniture in Bloomington. He was also involved in the city council and school board.
He is a member of the Monroe County Hall of Fame on which his plaque reads "One of the founding brothers of Showers Brothers, Bloomington Furniture Manufacturer, 1869; City Council member 14 years; School board member 17 years; Citizens Loan & Trust company president."
