Pale Serpent Era

One day during a My Fair Lady practice while the infamous Juan Valdez was absent the ever intrepid Benjamin "Gameplay" Lumsdaine started singing White Snake’s "Here I go Again” This quickly prompted the then awesome (still awesome) Brandon "The Show" Anderson to offer and idea: White Snake Cover Band. Gameplay was stunned and when he came to he said it. Pale Serpent would be this band. They then went on a nation wide hunt to find the best members possible to form this epic melding of White Snake and modern Middle American teens. Then tragedy struck when the boys realized the only White Snake song they knew was “Here I Go Again.”

O.W. Idea

Then one day while in the office of high school band direct Tom Wilson the teacher uttered the most influential phrase in rock history: “I always thought ‘Other Wholesome Ingredients’ was an awesome band name.” That was that as Brandon called Gameplay and immediately set it up. Under the new moniker and with new members Preston Hughes, Ben Notess, and Steve Alwine the band set out to make history.

Tragedy

Tragedy struck after the bands first rehearsal. The jam started off well until the music started playing. The toe headed team just couldn’t focus their music concepts together enough to form a comprehendible sound. Unable to agree upon an idea as well as rehearsal schedules the band went their separate ways. The rock community was in recession as the public feared the sound was silenced.

Reunion

Sanctuary came to the boys one afternoon as they stepped into the jazz band room at BHSN to hear the song “Panama” by Van Halen. As they proceeded they saw that the notes were coming from the hands of one Harry Gaebler. The freshmen percussionist who by then had showed no rock ability to the upperclassmen shook the world as he played like Edward himself. When the song ended Gameplay said it best with, “You’re In.” With set lineup and new original songs being pumped out the band reunited on November 17 at Rhinos all age music club for one more concert. Going under the title, “The Best Theoretical Band Ever,” the band is back in full force ready to do it right.
