Stepping Stones

From Bloomingpedia

Stepping Stones is a transitional housing program for youth aged 16-20 who are experiencing homelessness. Typically, these youth fall into one of two categories: runaways or adolescents forced out of their home by their guardians. Stepping Stones attempts to provide a supportive community where residents can develop independent living skills. Created in August 2005, the program can house six residents at a time but offers supportive service outreach to former residents and other youth in the community. There is usually a waitlist of youth hoping to enter the Stepping Stones program and these youth are also invited to utilize Stepping Stones' supportive services.
