Wimpy Grill

From Bloomingpedia

Wimpy Grills was a burger restaurant that was established in Bloomington in 1934 by Edward Gold. Although the Bloomington location no longer exists, the chain Wimpy went on to become successful in other countries such as the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Kuwait. The name comes from the cartoon Popeye. The Bloomington location apparently was at 401 E. Kirkwood Avenue.
