Overview

Yellowwood State Forest is a 23,200 acre state park created in 1940 and located in Brown County, Indiana. It contains hiking trails, camping facilities, and three man-made lakes, Yellowwood Lake (the largest of the three lakes at aprox. 130 acres), Crooked Creek Lake, and Bear Lake, all of which are popular fishing areas.

Yellowwood State Forest is best known to many Bloomingtonians as an ideal place to take in Brown County's wonderfully colorful fall leaves.
