Intellagirl

Chris: Yes...I'm the only Intellagirl. :-) Just moved from Muncie to Bloomington on Saturday. I'm really excited about this site and have used it to find quite a few things already. I'm a HUGE advocate of wikis for these kinds of uses. Feel free to email at intellagirl at g mail dot com

Awesome! Hook me up with any cool tech projects. I'm always happy to help out.

Hey Chris. It's Chris Robb. Nice to have you on board!

HOLY CRAP!!! That's a lot of pictures. Thanks. I like how they are all rectangular. Its like they are lego blocks or something that you can put together. A few of them might be better if they are retaken to get rid of glare on windows, etc. Good job. -- Mark 21:32, 10 Feb 2006 (GMT)

Dude, you rule!

I had been meaning to get out and put some photographs up, but you've done my work for me. Excellent addition!

Email address

Chris, I've been trying to contact you through your IU alumni email address. Have you received my emails? -- Mark 15:20, 22 February 2006 (GMT)

Sammy Terry?

Chris man, thanks for everything thus far with Dracula. You know, I hadn't realized how close in age we were until I read your blurby on here. Random question but if you grew up here in Indiana and as it is Halloween then you may be familiar with Sammy Terry?

Projects Portal?

The first RootsCamp came and went with few attendees, but lots of quality in the participants and conversation. One of the outcomes of the conversation is a need to have some central, reliable information portals.

Bloomingpedia, if it follows the Wikipedia model, would certainly be a good main source for information about the city, but is there a place for something beyond that? For all of Monroe County? For political and community projects? Is there room for a local blogger aggregate, and integration with other forums?

Any thoughts on this? --Kevin 10:15, 22 November 2006 (EST)

November 1, 2006

Hello. I'm trying to organize a RootsCamp for Bloomington and was hoping there would be a place to distribute this information within the Bloomingpedia community. I've posted some information on this site for the council to review. Thanks. --Kevin 15:32, 1 November 2006 (EST)

North girls basketball

The woman who wrote the BHSN girls' basketball article uploaded two copies of it. The final one is likned to from the North page. This one, North girls basketball, needs to be deleted in order to avoid confusion. I assume a moderator needs to perform the deletion. Thank you. -User:Ahasuerus 16 April, 2007. 09:19h (EDT).

Question about "talking" from Question Authority

Thanks for the welcome, Chris. I'm out in left field, a veritable dinosaur (choose your metaphor) with trying to figure out how to participate in/respond to "discussions." I've been searching for a "help" description on this wiki about the "post-in protocol," e.g. I've being using the edit function to "talk"--but I'm not sure that's the proper way to post. Also, how did you "activate" my user talk function? Sorry I'm so ignorant about all of this. If you can point me in the direction of an online 'tutorial," I'd be greatly appreciative. I'm now going to try to time-stamp myself with your tilda recommendation! Question Authority 23:13, 11 August 2007 (EDT)

No problem!

I'm an administrator on that little-known Wiki, so I know a handful of tiny things like that. Nothing useful, of course.  :) Glad to be aboard! Merope 12:27, 9 November 2007 (EST)

Fresh Air Taxis

Hi Chris,

I'm getting my first bike next week so I'll be experimenting. I'm willing to go anywhere; do you have some suggestions?

Re: photos. As soon as I assemble the bike I'll take a few photos for Bloomingpedia. You might have noticed that [1] is not up yet. That's also due to a lack of original artwork. But expect to see both of those things done sometime next week.

Yours sincerely, Crasshopper 23:19, 15 April 2008 (EDT)

Sorry, my spam doubler was broken.

Greetings Chris, Thanks for the heads up on trouble I made signing up for the forums. I have an account at cs.iusb.edu that I call my spam doubler, it forwards my email to two other accounts. I've patched things up so my registration should look OK this time. Thanks for your work here. --apple 00:47, 17 April 2008 (EDT)

Twitter

You know, I don't know what is scarier, than I have a twitter account, or that knowledge of it made it to Bloomingpedia faster than I could make it here to add it. The recent Penny Arcade comic about Twitter made me laugh enough that I thought I'd go ahead and try an account. The intro video on the Twitter site says "Twitter is what happens between blogs and email". Sigh, so what happens between twitter events? Now we need sub-twitter and sub-sub-twitter. Soon, all your time will be spent typing. ;-) -- Mark 13:03, 5 May 2008 (EDT)

Actually, I should also mention that Ritchie Hazlewood had a strong influence on me signing up with twitter. He made this cool Twitter visualization flash app. that he was showing me yesterday. -- Mark 13:20, 5 May 2008 (EDT)

vandal block

Hi Chris -- fast response on the vandalism last night. Can you do an IP block on your friends? I bet that the pair of IDs last night share an IP with AnalPleaser72 and/or Chilidog69, since they hit some of the same pages. Also, they have too much time on their hands, so they might be back and can just create a new account. If the IP is blocked, it might slow them down more and maybe they lose interest? Seemed a little personal... NotTires 10:23, 12 November 2009 (EST)
