S.E. Carmichael, in association with a Mr. Everett of Ft. Wayne, rents the Bowman room on the west side of The Square for a clothing store.
- 17th - The Southers family is taken from their home near Smithville and whitecapped.
Congressman Robert Miers, preparing to leave for Washington, sells his residence on north College Avenue and 77 feet of frontage on 8th Street to Dr. J.F. Potts for $4,750. One of the finest homes in the city, the two-story brick building contained eleven rooms and electric lighting.
The Ryors Building, west of the National Hotel is remodelled for Mrs. A. T. Pryor's new millinery store.
