The Basil Leaf offers a variety of Asian and Asian inspired dishes from Pad Thai, to Pho, to the Basil Fusion. The food is made with fresh ingredients and is most likely made or overseen by the owner, Robyn. She takes a lot of pride in mastering each and every dish on the menu and making sure that not a single thing is served that is not up to her high standards.
Tuesday thru Saturday, there is a lunch buffet for $8.49 w/o tax. Every day there is a variety of sushi, Thai salad or miso soup, fried rice, an appetizer (spring rolls or angel tofu), a dessert, and a variety of main dishes. The main dishes change daily but there will always be a noodle dish (i.e pad thai or pad see eew), a stir fry (Basil leaf, Ginger chicken), and a curry or two.
The dinner menu is reasonable priced, with dishes ranging from $6.50 to $14.00. It contains appetizers, soups, salads, stir frys, noodle dishes, curries, and a chef's choice/Asian fusion section. There is also a wine list which includes sake.
It is located on 4th Street near Grant Street In between Casablanca and the International Market and across the street from Anatolia.
