Cafe Django is an intimate Asian fusion restaurant across from the Monroe County Public Library on Grant Street. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Live jazz and eclectic music is usually played on Friday and Saturday evenings. The restaurant itself is named after French jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt.
The owner, Kunyang Norbu, previously operated the Norbu Cafe on 4th Street. She is married to Thubten Norbu, director of the Tibetan Cultural Center. Their son, Jingme Norbu operates the nearby Snow Lion restaurant (and the now closed Bazaar Cafe).
