Thubten Norbu (d. September 5th, 2008) was the eldest brother of the 17th and current Dalai Lama. He lived in Bloomington and was a Professor Emeritus at Indiana University. His widow, Kunyang Norbu owns and operates Cafe Django. Their son, Jigme Norbu, owns the Snow Lion restaurant and Bazaar Cafe.
