Charles Boney was a student at Indiana University in 1989. He was identified as the shoe bandit on January 19th, 1989. He had been stealing other student's shoes.

In 2005 charged with the New Albany, Indiana triple murder of Kim, Brad and Jill Camm, which occured in September 2000.

He appeared on CBS's 48 Hours Mystery on December 9th, 2006. The Tudor Room in the Indiana Memorial Union was also shown in this episode.
