George G. Dunn
Dunn was born on December 20, 1812 in Kentucky to Samuel and Elizabeth Dunn and came to Indiana with his family in 1823. He attended Indiana University but did not graduate; instead moving to Bedford and becoming a lawyer. A Whig, he was elected to Congress in 1847 and to the State Senate in 1851. In 1854 he was again elected to Congress, this time as a member of the Know-Nothing party.
