Gregory Reed Travis is an active citizen of Bloomington. He is the ombudsman of WFHB, a former contributor to Firehouse Feedback and The Bloomington Alternative, the executive director of The Association of Monroe County Tax Payers, has a pilot's license and is married to Sophia Travis. He is very involved with the internet and technology and is said to have his own computer museum in his house.

He is currently a Senior Researcher & Associate Lab Director at the Advanced Network Management Lab in Indiana University's Pervasive Technology Labs. He also serves as a member of the Monroe County Economic Development Commission.
