Joshua O. Howe (September 1st, 1826 - March 26, 1895) was one of the earliest born white children in Monroe County.
His father, Joshua O. Howe, Sr., and mother, Lucinda A. Howe, moved from Maryland to Kentucky and from Kentucky to Bloomington in 1819. H
Howe was married to Margaret Abel, daughter of Elias Abel, on Dec. 12, 1855, and they had three children: Joseph Howe, Mrs. Irene Burford and Jesse Howe.
