Overview
The Monroe County Council appropriates all funds for county use, adopts the county budget, fixes the county tax rate, and has exclusive power to borrow money for the county. Their office is in the Monroe County Courthouse Room 209. In 2008, council members will be paid $12,509 apiece for their services.
