Russell McGee

Russell McGee grew up in Spencer, Indiana. In 2001, he received his Bachelors in Theatre with a creative writing minor from Indiana State University. He received a scholarship to attend the 2002 W. B. Yeats International Summer School, where he participated in the dramatic workshop. Russell is currently a member-at-large on the board of Monroe County Civic Theater (MCCT), and the Literary Manager of the Bloomington Playwrights Project (BPP). In 2005, he founded MCCT's Dinner Theater Series and in 2007, he was awarded the Basile Playwriting Fellowship through the Indiana Theatre Association for his ten minute play The Clockwork Man. Russell’s recent directing credits include Romeo and Juliet for MCCT and Seussical Jr. at the BPP. His most recent directorial production was It's a Wonderful Life for the Merry MAC Playersin Martinsville, Indiana.
Projects
Russell recently began work with Starrynight Productions, a local movie company he helped to start.
