The story of Texas Roadhouse started in a little town of Clarksville, Indiana on February 17th, 1993. Kent Taylor had a dream of a restaurant that sold great food and a great place for people to enjoy themselves from the enthusiastic and energetic staff. There are currently over 235 locations nationwide.

Texas Roadhouse was voted number 1 in Menu Variety as well as Value in the 22004 Restaurant & Institution Magazine's Choice in Chains Guest Survey. In 2006, Texas Roadhouse was ranked #1 in the Pub - Grill category and was also ranked 38th in Forbes Best 200 Small Companies List. The Texas Roadhouse mascot is called Andy the Armadillo.
