The Big Dig project of 2000 was an revamp of the 100 year old storm sewer system under Kirkwood Avenue.
Feedback from area storeowners
- An owner of Greetings on the corner of Kirkwood and Dunn said that before the sewer was rebuilt, their store would get flooded 2 or 3 times a year. But since it was rebuilt it didn't flood until the Flood in June of 2008.
