Wendell Willkie

Wendell Lewis Willkie (February 18, 1892 - October 8, 1944) IU alumnus, lawyer and corporate executive, Willkie secured the 1940 republican presidential nomination but lost the election to Franklin D. Roosevelt. While at IU, Willkie was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Willkie Quadrangle is named for Wendell.
