501 N. Walnut Street

From Bloomingpedia

From at least 1998 through 2005, this was the address of Tortilla Flat, a locally owned Mexican restaurant housed in a long, low, one-story building. When it closed, it was replaced by the short-lived El Regio. In late 2007, property owners Rebecca Wann and Stephen Ingle sold to Steven Hoffman and Mark Hoffman for $375,000. They rented the building to the Barack Obama campaign for a while, then replaced the building with a new three-story, six-unit apartment building with 1,700 square feet of nonresidential space and an additional 1,400 of convertible apartment space.
