J. Carlisle Bollenhacher, 1906 Arbutus

John Carlisle Bollenbacher was a noted architect and Bloomington native who was responsible for many of the town's finer buildings. Among the buildings to his credit are the Administration Building (Bryan Hall), Kappa Kappa Gamma (photo), Women's Dormitory (Memorial Hall), the Indiana Memorial Union and the First Christian Church (postcard) He was a member of the Chicago firms Lowe & Bollenbacher, Lowe, Granger & Bollenbacher and Granger & Bollenbacher.

He is a descendant of George Bollenbacher.
