Charles Hinkle

Charles Hinkle (August 6, 1880 - ?) was a Bloomington businessman engaged in butchery. He was born in Bloomington to Marion Hinkle and attended a Bloomington high school. In 1908 he began his own butcher shop, and shortly thereafter with a partner, began Hinkle & Souders, located on the east side of The Square.

In 1913 he returned to his own business, buying the shop of H. E. Wahl & Company on the opposite side of the square.

Mr. Hinkle married the former Jessie May Rogers on October 8, 1903, and they had several children, including Leon Hinkle.
