North Washington Street Historic District

From Bloomingpedia

The North Washington Street Historic District originally grew up around the Showers Brothers' large homes on Walnut Street (both now demolished). The majority of the homes are Victorian, with a smattering of Free Classic style homes, and Dr. Harris' Craftsman bungalow.

An unusual feature of many of the homes are carved limestone rails on stone steps leading up to the houses.
