A nonprofit corporation formed by many city leaders in 1953 in order to attract new firms and jobs to Bloomington. Shares in the corporation were sold and the profits invested in establishing the 450-acre west-side industrial park in what was then outside the city limits. Settlers in the park included Westinghouse, Otis Elevator, and the Franklin Manufacturing Company, which later became part of General Electric.
