Certified Technology Park

Overview
The Certified Technology Park is an approximately 66-acre area centered on Rogers Street between 7th Street and the CSX right-of-way. It includes the Indiana University Research Park and the business incubator InVenture. Roughly 60 organizations exist inside the park boundaries, including recent additions Next Wave Systems and 1.2.1 Access Automation in late 2006. The Bloomington Urban Enterprise Association received a $45,000 grant from the city at about the same time to assist development in the park.
The park's designation was approved by the state in February of 2005. It implies that certain tax money collected by the park's residents can be returned directly to the park.
