The day started out partly sunny and warm. In the afternoon it started to lightly rain and continued to stay warm, with an 8:30pm temperature reading of 66 degrees F. At 8:30pm a heavy thunderstorm starting moving over Bloomington bringing heavy rain, lightning and high winds of 24mph heading south with gusts to 31mph. The storm finished passing over around 10:30pm. A tornado watch that included Monroe County was issued at 9pm that remained in effect until 11pm. The temperature dropped to 38 degrees before midnight.
