  • School superintendent James K. Beck resigns his position after 30 years in the school system.

April

  • 11th - Disbarment proceedings are filed against former mayor A. M. Hadley. He is accused of several instances of bribe-taking.

May

Plans are announced for the Bloomington depot of the Indianapolis Southern Railroad, a stone building at 13th Street and College Avenue. The Kirkwood Miers House was not planned to be moved. Two lines of track would pass the depot running from the city corporation line on the east to the Y on the west at the Monon crossing. At Walnut Street was planned an overhead bridge 27 feet high and at College Avenue a bridge 18 feet high.
