Eleanor Long (b. May 8, 1905 - d. April 21, 2006) was one of the cofounders of the Girls Club of Monroe County, later renamed to Girls Inc. of Monroe County. In her 100th year, she attended the 30th anniversary of Girls Inc. on April 22nd, 2005. During the event, Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan declared the day "Eleanor Long Day". She passed away in Texas where she had moved to live with her son.
