North Side
- Northgate area being contructed at intersection of SR 46 and Curry Pike.
- Burger King and the building at 1011 N. Walnut St. are demolished.
East Side
- New Bed Bath and Beyond (East side) being contructed next to Dick's Sporting Goods
South Side
- Something being contructed on south Walnut Street across from the recycling center.
West Side
- New Super Wal-Mart being constructed on SR 45 close to SR 37 interchange.
- Leveling of land for construction at south-west corner of Curry Pike and SR 45 next to Super Wal-Mart.
Downtown
- 2006-08-08 through 2006-08-10 - College Avenue and Walnut Street were sanded down to be paved on the 9th and 10th. This same thing happened in 1996.
- The Von Lee theater is being heavily renovated to make office space for Indiana University as well as retail space
- A large parking garage project has begun south of campus, the project is just west of Fess Avenue and between 3rd Street and Atwater Avenue.
